Baseret på et uddrag fra Finding God Through Sex af David Deida.
As you grow spiritually, sex becomes service to others. In the midst of sex, you may occasionally choose to feel and visualize someone to whom you want to send love and healing. Eventually, through practice, you feel all beings through your lover. You love through your lover, as a portal to all beings. Rather than having sex for your own pleasure only, you have sex for the sake of giving love to all beings.
If your lover is emotionally upset, breathe his or her dark energy into yourself, and breath out only love to your lover. Over time, with practice, feel that you are inhaling the pain of all beings and exhaling to them love. Receive their suffering, their fear, their lack, and give them your love. Feel sex as a blissful ritual of sacrifice, in which your body and mind are surrendered totally for the sake of all beings, to receive their pain and bring them love.
This doesn’t mean to create some kind of righteous ceremony wherein you feel special for being so kind and spiritual. It is simply the case that, eventually, you realize sex is no great shakes. It is what it is. At the personal level, it can be very pleasurable, but so what? Sex becomes a means to give love to all beings, through your partner. This total giving in the midst of active embrace is the true form of life, as well as sex. To live simply for your own sake is to generate constant fear and tension.
Living your life in the truth of full giving is bliss itself. You are always dissolving. Every moment you are dying to all that has been. Consciously participating in this death without resistance is love. It requires practice to love this fully, to receive others this fully, to let go this fully, and to give yourself entirely–especially in the midst of sex or suffering.
No amount of skin friction can equal the pleasure of coinciding with the deepest purpose of your life, which is to live as love. And no sex can exceed love itself, expressed as the body, embraced as all beings, and given through the form of your lover, until there is no other. Only love.
